In his responsibility he has ramp up that start up massively towards the further development of regenerative energies and to the consolidation of decentralized use. Together with the local governmental and business stakeholders he developed a strategy establishing Rostocks port area as a hydrogen production and Baltic Sea import hub within the next decade and on a European level.
Ralf studied civil engineering and got his PhD in 2015. After different management positions in the ship building industry, at wind turbine manufacturers and wind energy supplier he joined the IWEN Institute in 2020. Together with Jens Scharner/CEO Rostock Port GmbH, he is coordinating the activities and different projects of the energy port strategy.
